"Even though there were a lot of challenges when I first worked with Ronnie, it didn’t take long for him to become one of my favorite people. Meeting Ronnie at Kelly Lane Middle School, I eventually learned, no matter where Ronnie will go, he’ll succeed. His big personality allows him to make an impact on everyone he interacts with and he makes everything fun.

In fact, my favorite Ronnie memory took place during a normal run-of-the-mill reading group. Shortly into the lesson, a simple conversation turned into a 20 minute back and forth banter with one of his classmates.. 'Yes you do.. No you don’t.. Yes you do.. No you don’t'….so stinking funny! Out of all the memories I have of Ronnie, because he makes everything enjoyable, that one sticks out the most.

Ronnie has been blessed to be surrounded by a loving family, amazing friends, and supportive teachers and coaches. And although my time with Ronnie was minute, he has truly helped me see the world through different lenses and even after being apart for 9+ years, I still am 'Mrs. Oat' to him."
