"Excitement! That’s how I felt when I knew Ronnie was going to move up to high school and become a part of my class. I remember hearing the progress he had made in middle school and being completely stoked to see how far we could go as he entered his high school career. He was always so social and positive with a quiet little manipulative streak that we all loved. At the high school, we were always fortunate enough to be able to experience our community, including weekly grocery store trips, work based vocational activities as well as community outings.

My absolute favorite part of any of these was sitting on the bus with Ronnie. Along with the infamous ‘I Say YES!’ phrase, Ronnie had a multitude of one liners that the entire class loved including ‘You like it?’ On these community outings, he especially enjoyed getting everyone involved in all of his sayings. He would start asking his ‘Why’ questions where he never listened to the answers and just kept asking the same question. He would get the entire class asking ‘Why’ or ‘You like it?’ on the bus and then turn everyone into saying his other favorite one liners such as ‘I say YES!’

He always kept everyone in good spirits and laughing no matter where he went. His light will forever shine and I can’t wait to see how that light continues to spread around our area, the state and the world!"
