How do we shift the Down syndrome narrative?
We invite people to tell their story, and we invite others to read and share it.

This Is Down Syndrome

We know it will take a unique storytelling machine to shout the worth of people with Down syndrome, which is why The Lucky Few Foundation started the “This Is Down Syndrome” project. A project positioned to tell real, diverse and inclusive stories, stories which will get real people having real conversation, changing hearts and minds and shifting narratives. Stories which not only benefit the Down syndrome community, but strengthen our collective humanity.

Last year, we decided to tell a bigger, more inclusive Down syndrome story with our global storytelling project called This is Down Syndrome. So far, we’ve told over 150 stories using photography, and on World Down Syndrome Day, we’ll be releasing our very first story in documentary format. The first of thousands to come. We understand how important stories are in strengthening our collective humanity, and we are so honored and thrilled to get to tell some of the best stories out there. These stories work to connect the world through compassion that is sowed when we see an individual over a diagnosis. Because knowing and understanding Down syndrome is not the same as knowing and understanding a person with Down syndrome. Join the movement; share LaTasha’s story.

These are the stories that shift narratives.

We create content that intrigues and inspires. By sharing life-changing and narrative-shifting personal experience, we offer opportunities for all of humanity to see the truth and beauty in Down syndrome.

These are the stories that shift narratives.

The Lucky Few Foundation will strengthen humanity, shift harmful narratives and create a world where everyone belongs. Help us tell the diverse, good and true Down syndrome story. Your contribution builds relational bridges to the Down syndrome community necessary to create a more inclusive world for all of us.

We invite YOU to participate by sharing these stories about Down syndrome.

It is our hope that these stories will reach just the right people at just the right time, creating the narrative-shifting impact this world needs.
