Zach’s 8th grade graduation ceremony from Cario Middle School was a night to remember.

Every year, the faculty and administration choose one student to receive the Walt Pusey Award, named for and in honor of the first Principal of Cario. This award goes to a student who has shown leadership, citizenship, academic excellence, is well-rounded, and a friend to all.

Zach was the recipient of this award. When they called his name, he was given a standing ovation. The night was FULL of emotion and touching to many. It was a celebration because it was the first time an individual with special needs ever received this honor.

This acknowledgement became a realization of every parent’s hope…It truly was a night to remember.
