The Brianna Series 8/12: Julie/Sister
(THE BRIANNA SERIES 8/12: Julie/Sister)
Brianna always does things that surprise me… like when she took her first step. I was so proud, I ran up to her, and hugged her. And one day when I was upset and crying in my room. I came out of my room still crying a little and went to sit in the living room. Brianna saw that I was upset. She walked up to me and gave me a hug. I hugged her back. It was unexpected but welcomed. Her hug lifted my spirits and I felt better. From that day, I know that she will always be there for me. Brianna has this special superpower. It’s like she can feel people’s feelings.
Brianna’s first time at the beach is still one of my favorite memories. My parents said they were not going to put her on the sand because she would eat it. When I came back from playing in the water, we had lunch. Then we went back to playing but I stayed to finish my lunch. I saw my mom had wanted to let Brianna play in the sand. When Brianna first touched the sand, she started playing with it. After that, she put some in her mouth but my Mom, Dad, and Older Sister automatically took it out. Then they started watching her more closely until we left. Nowadays Brianna listens to “You’re Welcome” from the movie Moana, it reminds me of this memory. The movie Moana is based on this girl that loves the ocean but her parents don't allow her to go in the water. In this memory the sand is the water, Bria is the girl, and my parents are the ones who stop her from eating the sand instead of going in the water. It makes me happy to have this memory with her.
