"When Milo was born, Mama and Papa made us move around and stay with different relatives. I was four years old and a little worried.. I thought, 'What was happening there?'

When we could finally meet Milo for the first time, on the way, Mama and Papa explained how Milo’s heart was broken and he has a condition called Down syndrome. It would make him different from everyone. Now I was really worried.. 'Will he not have the same interests as me?' As we got there the lady at the hospital told us to put an extra long shirt on to keep him clean and safe. They said he was fragile. That made me worry even more.

But once I set eyes on him, all that worry flew away. He wasn’t different. Not to me. He was my brother. And as life will continue to throw obstacles at him, we will always be there for him."
