(The Marisol Series 6/11: Martha/Grandma)

"When Marisol was little her little feet would bend and move when she tried to walk, it was impressive to see the effort she put in. Since she was a baby she has had to put in effort into everything, we gave her the chance to go to therapy, but her effort is so big and it makes a difference. I am impressed by the progress she has made and everything she is able to do today. A funny moment that I remember is when her therapist suggested we put a glove over some of her fingers to prevent her from using them and help develop her pincer grasp. Marisol would just look at her hand as it was so strange for her. I also remember messaging her mouth, at first she didn't make any movement but with time, she would bite my fingers which made me feel happy to see her growing. She doesn’t have a lot of words but she is very smart and knows what she wants."
