The Mae Series 3/9: Andrew, Dad

(THE MAE SERIES 3/9: Andrew, Dad)

There are so many moments of being Mae’s Dad that have transformed who I am as a person that it’s hard to choose. I think the most giving part of Mae is her ability to make you feel so loved. She knows when I need a hug, she knows when to make me smile and laugh, and she knows when to give me a hard time. She’s taught me patience in a whole new way. She’s taught me that there are many ways to do something. She has a way of bringing out everyone’s best side. I love playing cards with Mae! She has my love of competition. We will be engrossed in a game of Uno and she’ll look up and say “You’re going down Daddy”, The next thing I know, she wins. It happens over and over. She’s smart. She’s funny. She’s curious. Most of all, when she loves you, she loves you. She is the definition of unconditional love. She doesn’t ask for anything in return. Her love for her family and friends is unwavering and inspiring.
