"I’ll never forget the first time LB was up to bat. The pitcher will never forget it either. Because every time she steps into the batter’s box, she first starts flapping her arms up and down getting the crowd to cheer for her, then she yells ‘hey throw the ball, what are you afraid of old man.’ She doesn’t always hit the ball, but she still makes the crowd cheer for her anyway. And when she is playing basketball and she makes a basket, the crowd goes crazy and she breaks into her favorite dance moves as she makes her way down the court. Meanwhile I (her coach) yell ‘LB play some defense.’ When you meet LB, you probably wouldn’t guess all that she is able to do. But she will try anything and will see it to the end without giving up or giving in. In the years that I have known LB I have seen her play baseball, basketball, bowling, swimming, boogie boarding, skiing, a mud run, hiking, and on the back of a jet ski. She does all these things to the best of her ability and she does them with her LB attitude that includes fun, sass, her ability to make you smile, and don’t forget her humor.

A few years ago, when we went skiing, I fell and broke a rib, and for the last 2 years every time I see LB she calls me ‘Ribs’ and she has even sent me videos of her eating ribs and telling me ‘this rib is for you.’

This girl does it all, and nothing makes me happier than being part of it."
